Windows / macOS: Tools are not displayed properly, such as blanks and black dot.
The procedure differs depending on whether there are drawing issues or not.
Please take the following measures according to the situation.
Depending on the version you are using, the palette and command names may differ as follows.
- Tool Group palette > Sub Tool palette
If there are no issues with the drawing
If there are no issues with drawing but only the palette display is abnormal, please do the following.
1. Click the icon in the upper-left corner of the Tool Group palette.
2. Select View and then Text.
3. Repeat the steps above and open View and reselect Stroke.
4. Please check to see whether the Tool Group palette is being displayed correctly.
When canvas drawing is also affected.
If a bullet pattern is displayed not only when previewing the tool palette, but also when drawing on the canvas, please try these steps in the following order.
Reinstall Clip Studio Paint
Uninstall the applications in order of Clip Studio Paint then Clip Studio, and reinstall the latest version of the application from the following page.
■ Download Clip Studio Paint
*Uninstalling will not affect custom settings.
*For Windows users, if Clip Studio Paint or Clip Studio are not displayed in Control Panel, simply install the applications.
Materials Maintenance
Start Clip Studio and click the cog icon in the top-right corner, select Maintenance Menu then perform Reset Additional Materials and Organize Materials Database.
Verifying Security Software
This may be due to the influence of security software.
Please refer to the following page to update your security software and configure exclusion settings for security scans.

- If the Location of Materials has been changed, or if the location has not been changed.
- If folders of the application have been moved or deleted.
