If you did not receive an activation code notification email when purchasing Clip Studio Paint, please check the following.

One-time purchase / paid for update plan via Paypal

With payment methods such as SEPA and SOFORT, it may take some time for an email to be sent after your purchase, as the payment is first processed at the payment platform.

If you do not receive an email after three days, search your mailbox for no-reply@clip-studio.com or noreply@mycommerce.com to check if you have not received an email.

If you bought a discounted grade or version upgrade to Ver. 3.0

No new activation code will be issued if you upgrade from Ver.2.0 to Ver.3.0 or upgrade from Ver.3.0 PRO to EX.


If you have purchased a discounted version upgrade, you can use it by updating and launching the app from here.

If you purchased a discounted upgrade to EX, you can use it by launching the app.

When paying for the update plan by credit card/Apple Pay/Google Pay

If you pay for the update plan by credit card/Apple Pay/Google Pay, you will not receive an activation code or serial number.

If you ordered a Annual/Monthly Plans

Clip Studio Paint Annual/Monthly Plans do not issue activation codes.
