iPhone/iPad: Supported Cloud Services for Clip Studio Paint

From Clip Studio Paint Ver. 1.9.5, you can open files on iOS or iPadOS directly from the Files app.


We have checked the compatibility of several cloud services that you can use as storage locations. Please see the details below:

*(1) Files managed in folders (eg. cmc files) cannot be opened. For details, please refer to the following.


*(2) When repeatedly saving the same file, the conflicting file may be duplicated.


*(3) Saving may not be completed when overwriting, but you can save by clicking [Cancel] and overwriting again.


*(4) The file cannot be opened if the device is offline.


*(5) When saving an existing file, it may be saved as a new file.


*(6) When saving a new file, the message "The operation was canceled. (File name) has not been saved." appears, but the file is still saved.


*(7) Files saved from other devices cannot be opened.


*(8) Files cannot be read or written when the device is offline. (iPhone only)

Compatibility on iOS12

Since iOS12 does not support cloud service folders, files managed in folders (such as .cmc files) cannot be opened.

About external drives

We do not recommend directly storing or editing Clip Studio Paint files on external drives such as USB sticks.



If there are any problems with one of these cloud services, we will provide feedback to Apple and other cloud service developers in an effort to improve them.
