[iPad] Image cannot be read from photo app with version 1.9.5

Update

On December 13, 2019, CLIP STUDIO PAINT 1.9.6 was released with this phenomenon corrected.

Please update from AppStore.

In some environments of CLIP STUDIO PAINT for iPad 1.9.5, we have confirmed the phenomenon that images cannot be read from the photo app.

This will be corrected in a future version.



Workaround

If you are using iOS 12, please update to iPadOS 13.
If there is no improvement, perform the following operations.


1. Open CLIP STUDIO PAINT.


2. Launch the launcher at the bottom of the screen, drag the photo app icon, and place it next to the CLIP STUDIO PAINT app screen.


3. Drag the photo you want to import and drop it on the CLIP STUDIO PAINT canvas area.


4). Execute [Edit] menu → [Copy], open the destination canvas, and execute [Edit] menu → [Paste].


5). If you want to display the resize handle on the image, select the [Layer] menu → [Convert Layer] and change the [Type] to [Image Material Layer].

Resize handle can be operated by selecting [Operation] tool> [Object] sub tool.
