What do I need to do before upgrading to Windows 10?
If you are planning to upgrade your PC to Windows 10, please see the following information to continue to use Clip Studio Paint with no issues.
Before upgrading
Back up your app settings
To avoid the unlikely event of data loss, make sure that you make a copy of your Clip Studio Paint work files and settings to an external hard drive before upgrading to Windows 10.
Back up your custom settings by creating a copy of the CELSYS folder inside the Documents folder.
1.10.13 or later
C:/Users/(Your user name)/AppData/Roaming/CELSYSUserData/CELSYS
Note: If you have updated from a version earlier than 1.10.13 and have not moved the folder, please check the following under 1.10.12 or earlier.
Note: If the AppData folder is not visible, go to the View tab at the top of Explorer and check Hidden Files.

Note: If you have changed the settings for where materials are saved, back up the CLIPStudioCommon folder inside of the changed save location.
Check that your pen tablet is compatible with Windows 10
Please check the manufacturer's website to see if your drawing tablet has a driver for Windows 10.
Check that your device can upgrade to Windows 10
Please check the manufacturer's website to see if your PC supports Windows 10.
Ensure that you upgrade according to the instructions provided by your device manufacturer to avoid losing any data or applications on the PC.
Troubleshooting issues after upgrading
If your Clip Studio Paint settings were reset to default
Please refer to the following article to restore your settings using the backup CELSYS folder that you created.
If you cannot install, launch, or save in Clip Studio Paint
The antivirus program Microsoft Defender comes installed in Windows 10.
In some cases, this antivirus prevents you from being able to install, launch, or save in Clip Studio Paint.

If you notice pen lag in Clip Studio Paint
Certain Xbox game controller drivers installed on the device can cause pen lag in Clip Studio Paint.
If you notice pen lag after updating to Clip Studio Paint, try uninstalling these drivers to see if it resolves the issue.
