I get the message, “This license has reached the maximum number of deactivations, so it cannot be activated on this device.”
There is a limit to the number of times you can change your device.
Ver. 2.0 or later perpetual license/Update Pass
If the conditions listed under “Ver. 2.0 and later one-time purchase license/Update Pass” on the following page are met, you can use the app on two computers by switching between them.
If an error message displays, then wait a few hours and try again.
If you would like to use the app on three or more computers at all times, then you will need to purchase a new license.
Annual/Monthly plans
With a single-device plan, you can switch your license to a new device, but you can't repeatedly switch between multiple devices with this plan.
If you want to use Clip Studio Paint with multiple devices, please use a dual-device plan or a premium plan, according to the number of devices you wish to use.
See here for how to change your plan.
Tablet/Smartphone: If an error occurs when authenticating with one device
Please check if there are multiple Clip Studio Paint apps installed on your device.
In cases where multiple device-specific versions of Clip Studio Paint are installed, you will need to go through the license switching process if you open one app and then the other.
See the following page for more information.
