The message “Unable to edit canvas because canvas contains data which cannot be used in this version” appears and I cannot edit my .clip file.
If your .clip file becomes read-only when opened and cannot be edited, please update to the latest version of Clip Studio Paint.

Some .clip files that use features or materials that were built in later versions of Clip Studio Paint, cannot be edited in earlier versions of the app.

Note:
Clip Studio Paint ver. 1.13.0 supports Save in compatibility mode.
If a file is saved in compatibility mode and opened in Ver. 1.13.0 or later, even if unusable data is included in the file, it will not become read-only and can be edited.

Materials that indicate that they can only work on Windows or Mac (Intel) will not work on tablets, smartphones, or Chromebooks.
