Assets: How can I import animation materials?

You can import animation materials downloaded from Clip Studio ASSETS using the Material palette in Clip Studio Paint.

The process depends on your device, so please check the following.

Tablet/Computer

To use animation materials, you must create a canvas with a timeline for animations.

If an animation canvas is already open, please skip to step 3.


1. Select File > New.



2. For the “Use of work,” select animation. After setting the file name, canvas size, and so on, click OK.

3. Select the relevant category in the Window > Material menu



4. You can drag and drop the animation from the Download folder in the Material palette to the canvas.





Note:

You can play the animation by opening the Window > Timeline palette and pressing the Play button in the Timeline.





Smartphone

To use animation materials, you must create a canvas with a timeline for animations.

If an animation canvas is already open, please skip to step 2.


1. Create a canvas for animation.


(1) Tap the three lines menu (≡) > File > New.



(2) For the “Use of work,” select animation. After setting the file name, canvas size, and so on, click OK.

2. The Timeline palette will be added to the palette bar.

(If the palette is already visible, skip to step 3.)


(1) Tap the three lines menu (≡) > App Settings > Palette Bar Settings.



(2) Check Timeline, and then select OK.



3. Select the Material palette from the palette bar, and tap the “Save folder for materials” icon.



4. In the “Save folder for materials” dialog, select the Download folder and tap OK.



5. In the Material palette, double-tap the animation material you want to import.

You can also drag & drop materials by long-pressing the bottom left grip icon next to each material and then dragging them to the canvas.



The selected material will be imported to the canvas.




Note:

You can also play the animation by opening the Timeline from the palette bar and tapping the play button.


Note: In the smartphone version, you can swipe the play button at the top of the palette to display it.
