What is a Gradient map?
The Gradient map is a function that converts the colors of an image into a gradient while keeping the shading of the original image.
You can adjust the colors of your image to better match the mood you want to achieve.
To use it, click on the Edit menu > Tonal Correction > Gradient map.
This function is different to the Gradient tool. For details, please refer to here.
Using a Tonal Correction layer
1. Select Layer menu > New Correction Layer > Gradient map.

Select the [≡] menu > Layer > New Correction Layer > Gradient map.
2. Double-click or double-tap the image you want to change from the Gradient set in the dialog to reflect it on the color bar.
In order to change the blue sky to sunset, double-click or double-tap the Sunset (purple) in the gradation set Sky.
In addition to the default Gradient sets, you can also add your own or download them from Assets.
4. Press OK to create a layer with the Gradient map applied.
Applying directly to a layer
1. Select the layer to which you would like to apply your gradient map.
2. Select Edit menu > Tonal Correction > Gradient map.

3. Double-click or double-tap the image you want to change from the Gradient set in the dialog to reflect it on the color bar.
