Windows: I can’t open my multi-page work after using [Sort page file names]
We have detected a bug in which works saved on iCloud Drives cannot be opened when [Sort page file names] is used.
To open the file, delete the space and number 2 at the end of the page file name.
Solution
1. Copy the folder containing the work to a location outside your iCloud Drive (for example, your Desktop).
2. Open the copied project folder.
3. Delete the space and number 2 at the end of the file name.
Note: handle all affected files in the same way.
4. Check that you can open the .cmc file.
After following the above steps, you should be able to use [Sort page file names] without issue.
As a precaution to prevent unexpected corruption to your files, be sure to save your work in a folder that does not sync with any cloud storage systems.
We have reported this bug to Apple and are continuing to investigate the issue.
