Is there a good plan for me if I am using the app on several devices such as a computer, tablet, and smartphone?
The best option will differ based on the type and number of devices you are using.

Will I be able to edit files made in Ver. 2.0 with Ver. 1?
You will be able to edit files made in Ver. 2.0 with Ver. 1.
Ver. 2.0: Can I use Clip Studio Paint offline?
With Ver. 2.0.3, the license authentication period has been adjusted on Windows and macOS versions to facilitate offline use. The app can be used offline for 15 days.
After updating, please start the application once it is online.

What new features will be added in Ver. 2.0 and 3.0?
Ver. 2.0 includes many new features, such as a 3D adjustable head model, hand pose scanner, and more.

Ver. 3.0 features have not been decided yet. We hope to explore what new features we can add with your feedback.
Will I be able to use Clip Studio Assets, the cloud, and other services on Ver. 1 even after Ver. 2.0 and Ver. 3.0 are released?
You will be able to use materials downloaded from Clip Studio Assets as well as cloud services, support, and other services.
What will compatibility be like for materials after Ver. 2.0 is released?
Ver. 1 will be able to continue to use materials.
Materials for the new features implemented from Ver. 2.0 on cannot be used in Ver. 1.
Update Pass
The Update Pass allows one-time perpetual license users access to the latest features without the need for a new version perpetual license and at a fraction of the price.
An Update Pass is valid for a period of one year from the time of activation, and you can choose when you want to activate it.
Even after your Update Pass ends, you can continue to use your perpetual version.

If I purchased Ver. 1 after January 1, 2022 do I get the one-time purchase license for Ver. 2.0 or is that the Update Pass?
It is the one-time purchase license of Ver. 2.0. If you then buy an Update Pass you can get early access to features coming to the app from Ver. 2.1 and beyond for 12 months.
If I upgraded my one-time purchase (perpetual) version for Ver. 1 with the discounted upgrade offer, will I be eligible to get the perpetual version of Ver. 2.0?
If you upgraded your license at any time between January 1 ~ the release of Ver. 2.0 you are eligible.
In addition to upgrades from PRO to EX, and DEBUT to PRO, if you purchased your one-time purchased (perpetual) license during the above period, you are eligible.
If I upgraded my one-time purchase (perpetual) version of Ver. 1 with the discounted upgrade offer, will I be able to get Ver. 2 for free from the pre-release offer?
You must purchase the software between October 13, 2022 and the release of Ver. 2.0 and have authenticated your license with your Clip Studio account to be eligible.*1
In addition to upgrades from PRO to EX, and DEBUT to PRO, if you purchased your one-time purchased (perpetual) license during the above period, you are eligible.
Will there be a discounted upgrade offer for upgrades from PRO to EX with the Ver. 2.0 one-time purchase (perpetual) license as well?
Yes, we have plans to offer a discounted upgrade offer for upgrades for PRO to EX for Ver. 2.0 as well.

In the future, when Ver. 3.0 is released, will there be discounted upgrade offers too?
Details for Ver. 3.0 have yet to be decided at the time of publication. Further details will be announced in due course.

You said you will continue to provide stability updates to Ver. 1. How long will you provide them?
Future considerations will be made in light of hardware, OS, and how devices running Clip Studio Paint continue to change.
Who can apply to the free testing program?
You will be asked to indicate on the application form specifically what hurdles you face in using Ver. 2.0. We will take into consideration your individual circumstances as stated in the form when we select participants.
