What layers are not supported in Simple Mode on tablet and smartphone?
Simple Mode was made with ease of use in mind on mobile devices, so there are some unsupported layer varieties.

Simple Mode for tablets was implemented in Clip Studio Paint version 2.1.0 released on July 27, 2023.

*1 Layer effects (Border/Watercolor border/Line extraction/Tones/Layer color/Expression color preview) cannot have their settings changed but they can be edited by drawing.

*3 The 3D layers of existing works are locked but you can create new layers in Simple Mode.
How unsupported layers are shown
Dialog
A dialog will appear if you open a work containing unsupported layers in Simple Mode.
Thumbnail
If you open a work containing unsupported layers in Simple Mode, a symbol will be displayed on the thumbnail of the unsupported layer.
This mark is not displayed on layers that can be drawn on with a brush even if they contain unsupported functions such as layer effects.
Details
If you open the Details menu for an unsupported layer, it will say “Incompatible layer.”
