Tablet/Smartphone: How do you download materials in Simple Mode?

In Simple Mode, you can download materials within the app by tapping Add recommended materials in the Download list on the Material palette.

From September 26, 2023, Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.2.0 features an Add recommended materials feature.

How to download materials

1. Open the Downloads from the Material palette.



2. Tap + or Add recommended materials.



3. The recommended materials will be displayed within the app.

Tap on the material you would like to download.



4. Tap Download.



5. Downloaded materials are added to Downloads in the Material palette.



Tap the thumbnail of the material you want to use, and the material will be pasted on the canvas.

Adjust the position, size, and angle with the blue handles and tap OK in the upper right corner of the screen.



Brush

Brush materials will be added to Download in the Brush list.



You can also add them from the + button on the Sub tool palette > Add recommended brushes.




Color set materials

The color set material will be added to the Select color set.



You can also add them from the + button on the Color palette > Add recommended sets.




Download materials from your browser

If you want to download materials other than the recommended materials, scroll down the recommended materials list and tap Search other Materials.

Open Clip Studio Assets in your browser, and you can download materials that can be used in Simple Mode that did not display in the recommended materials.




Supported materials

You can use the following materials in Simple Mode:


・Image materials

・Poses (3D drawing figures)

・Body Shapes (3D drawing figures)

・Layer templates


Materials other than those listed above can be used in Studio Mode.
