What is the Update Pass?
The Update Pass allows one-time perpetual license users access to the latest version without the need for a new version perpetual license and at a fraction of the price.
How do I get an Update Pass?
You need to have a Clip Studio Paint one-time purchase perpetual license active with your account and then select Use the latest features from Clip Studio.

What payment options are available for it?
You can purchase an Update Pass with a credit card or Paypal.
The credit cards that can be used differ depending on your country or region, so please check when you purchase.
Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available for purchases made from smartphones.
How much is it?
Update Pass pricing is as follows.
Clip Studio Paint PRO: US$10.99/year
Clip Studio Paint EX: US$31.99/year
Note: This is the price for new users. For current users, you will get the price that you had when you signed up for as long as you are still subscribed.
Can I choose when to activate it?
An Update Pass is valid for a period of one year from the time of activation.
・You can choose when to activate the Pass.
・The Pass is automatically renewed every year.
・If you sign up with an activation code, it will not automatically renew.
What devices can I use it on?
You can use it on Windows/macOS.
How many devices can I use with my Update Pass?
Each one-time purchase license will need its own Update Pass.
You can use one Pass per device. You can change which computer you use it on when you transfer the app.
What differences are there between the PRO and EX Update Pass?
When using an Update Pass, the available features will differ between PRO and EX.
What happens when my Update Pass expires?
After the Update Pass expires, you will be able to use the perpetual, one-time purchase license for the version you had before.
■ Versions that can be used after the Update Pass expires:
・If you have Ver. 1 (perpetual version, one-time purchase): Ver. 1.13.2
・If you have Ver. 2.0 (perpetual version, one-time purchase): Ver. 2.0.6
How do I cancel my Update Pass?
You can apply for cancellation from the plan details screen.
・Cancellation will not mean that the Pass immediately expires. The Pass will expire on the date on the next scheduled payment.
・You will be able to use the Update Pass until the next scheduled payment.
・You can also stop a cancellation.
・If the Pass cannot be successfully paid for on the scheduled payment date it will also get cancelled.
