Tablet: The default layout changed after updating to Ver. 3.1.0 (Updated August 15, 2024)
The default position of palettes in Studio Mode for tablets was changed with Clip Studio Paint Ver. 3.1.0.
This new layout will be preserved even when selecting Window menu > Workspace > Reset to Default.
How to return to the former layout (Updated August 15, 2024)
Ver. 3.0 default workspace for iPad/Android tablets are now available as materials.

Also, by adjusting the position of each palette, the layout of the former version can be approximated. Follow the steps below to make adjustments.
An adjusted layout can be loaded immediately by registering it as a workspace.
How to manually adjust the layout
Please adjust the layout by referring to the pictures below of the former layout.
The layout before Ver. 3.1.0
1. Tap on the < icon on the left.
2. Drag the icons on the right one by one to the icons on the left.
- When a short red line appears below (or above) the left icons, let go with the pen or your finger to move the icons.
- If doing so with the pen is difficult, please try using your finger.
3. Adjust the order of the left icons.
How to register a workspace
1. Select Window menu > Workspace > Register Workspace.
2. Change the name as needed and select OK.
e.g. Workspace1, favorite, etc.
3. Select Window menu > Workspace to check if the workspace that was registered in step 2 is displayed.
4. To check if it was registered properly, select Window menu > Workspace > Illustration or Comic to temporarily switch to a different workspace.
5. In Window menu > Workspace, select the workspace registered in step 2 to check that it is being displayed correctly.

It's possible to choose if the below items should be imported when switching workspaces.
- Shortcut settings
- Command bar layout
- Preferences -> Unit settings
Set up pop-up display
If adjusting the layout and registering it as a workspace isn't enough, then you can also set up pop-up display.
With pop-up display, palettes will be hidden when editing the canvas.
Select Window menu > Palette dock > Display Quick Access / Sub Tool / ... as pop-up.
The exact name of Display Quick Access / Sub Tool / ... as pop-up depends on the type of applicable palettes.
