Windows: How can I check my GPU or VRAM information (graphics memory)?

You can check your graphics memory using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

Please see below for detailed instructions.



Procedure

1. Tap the Windows start button and search “dxdiag” in the search bar.


2. DirectX Diagnostic Tool will launch.


■ Windows 11


■ Windows 10


3.Tap Display.

To check the GPU: Find the name of the GPU under Name.

To check the VRAM (graphics memory): Check under Display Memory (VRAM).



Note:

If you have multiple monitors connected, there will be tabs for each displays, such as "Display 1" and "Display 2".
