How do you display scale on a ruler?

You can display scale on a ruler by selecting the Ruler tool and adjusting settings on the Advanced Tool Settings palette.

Note:
The following rulers can display scale: straight line, curve, figure, and ruler pen.

Procedure

If you are using Clip Studio Paint on tablet or smartphone, please switch to Studio Mode first.

1. Select the Ruler tool.

Then select the Linear ruler from the Tool Group palette.

2. Select Advanced Tool Settings in the Tool Settings palette.

Note:
The Advanced Tool Settings palette can also be accessed via the Window menu > Advanced Tool Settings.

3. On the Advanced Tool Settings palette, select Create Ruler, check Scale, and then select the desired unit.

Now when you create a ruler, it will display a scale.

Note:
Depending on the version you are using, the palette names may differ as follows.
- Tool Group palette > Sub Tool palette
- Advanced Tool Settings palette > Sub Tool Detail palette
