You can display scale on a ruler by selecting the [Ruler] tool and adjusting settings on the [Sub Tool Details] palette.

Note: The following rulers can display scale: straight line, curve, figure, and ruler pen.

1. Select the [Ruler] tool.

Then select the [Linear ruler] from the [Sub Tool] palette.

Click the [Sub Tool Detail] icon on the lower right corner of the [Tool Property] palette.

Note: The [Sub Tool Detail] palette can also be accessed via the [Window] menu > [Sub Tool Detail].

3. On the [Sub Tool Detail] palette, select [Create Ruler], check [Scale], and then select the desired unit.

Now when you create a ruler, it will display a scale.
