Can tool settings be reset to default?

You can reset tools to their default settings for each sub tool or collectively.

How to reset individual sub tool settings

1. From the [Sub Tool] palette, select the sub tool that you want to reset the settings of.

2. Click the menu button in the top-left corner, and select [Reset to Default].



How to reset all sub tool settings

You can reset all tools to their original installation default settings.

Note: Keep in mind that doing this will erase all customized tool settings and any sub tools that have been added.


Reset tools to their original installation defaults

1. If Clip Studio Paint is already launched, exit the program.


2. Run Clip Studio Paint's initialization startup and display the [Reset to original defaults] dialog box.

Note: For information on how to initialize Clip Studio Paint, please refer to the following FAQ.



Check the tools you wish to restore to their default settings in the [Reset to original defaults] dialog box and click [OK].



Note: All items checked will be restored to their initial start-up defaults. Check [Tool] only.


4. Clip Studio Paint will launch. Check that the tool palette has been restored to its initial start-up default.
