If you are using a computer that is not connected to the Internet, you can use Clip Studio Paint by following the instructions below on a separate online computer.

Note: We recommend that you use Clip Studio Paint on a device that connects to the Internet.

Note: If the message "License verification failed" displays on a device that is online, please follow the steps on this page to authenticate it.

Note: For iPad users, an internet connection is required. Access the App Store and download the application.

How to install Clip Studio Paint

If you want to install the software to an offline PC, save the installer you downloaded via your online PC to an external HDD or flash drive, move the data to the offline PC, and then run the installer.

The package version can be installed from the disk, but we recommend downloading the most recent version of the software from our website.

How to authenticate Clip Studio Paint

Please perform the following steps.

Note: For online PC users with license authentication failures, please refer to step 2.

1. Enter serial number and click [Register License].

2. For the packaged version or download version, the options to "Perform Automatically" or "Perform Manually" will appear. Select "Perform Manually" and then click Next.

Note: License verification may still fail for users with an online connection due to problems such as verification servers being congested. In this event, a message will appear saying that the verification failed.

If this occurs, please select [Yes, verify license in another procedure].

3. A screen showing your license authentication key will appear.

From the URL displayed in red box [2], access the license verification site and enter the license authentication key displayed in red box [1].

Note: URLs for web browser users and mobile users will appear on the screen.

Please use a web browser on a PC with an Internet connection or mobile device to access the respective sites.

Note: If you use two-dimensional code with mobile phone, using the code displayed in the lower part of the screen will automatically enter the license authentication key.

Note: The URL displayed for the license authentication site will vary based on the version of Clip Studio Paint that is being authenticated.

Please be aware that the confirmation key cannot be properly issued if any part is omitted or incorrect.

4. After accessing the license verification site, the following screens will be displayed.

Enter the license authentication key from red box [1] in step 3., and click [Acquire].

Note: The license authentication key will be automatically entered for two dimensional code users.

Please simply click [Acquire].

5. After clicking [Acquire], the confirmation key acquisition screen will appear.

6. Return to the License verification screen and enter the key acquired from the license verification site into the space in red box [1], then click Next in red box [2].

7. The following screen will be displayed if registration is successful.

Click [OK] to complete the operation.
