Smartphone: I get the message "Failed to start Companion mode. Please turn on Wi-Fi and check that you are connected to the same network (LAN) as the main device."
Check your devices’ network connection status and Firewall settings.
This error will appear if your devices are connected to different network environments or if the Clip Studio Paint app is blocked by a firewall.
Error messages
If Companion mode fails to start for any of the following reasons, please refer here.
・The app versions are different
・The QR code cannot be read
・The connection information has been changed
Windows/macOS: Allow access with firewall settings
If your firewall is blocking the app, you will not be able to connect using Companion mode.

iPhone: Granting access to the local network
You cannot connect with Companion mode unless you have set up local network access permissions.

Checking your network connection status
Connect both devices to the same network environment
Connect the main device and the smartphone you want to use in Companion mode to the network environment using the same router or access point.
Turn on Connect to smartphone on your main device.
Make sure that Connect to smartphone is enabled on your main device.
If disabled, follow the guide below to reconnect your smartphone.
