How can I connect my devices in Companion mode?
By scanning the QR code displayed on your computer or tablet device with your smartphone, you can connect the two devices, provided they are on the same network connection.
Setup
1. Get the computer or tablet device that you want to use as your main device, and your smartphone ready.
You can use Companion mode on the following devices:

2. Install Clip Studio Paint on your smartphone.
・No additional plan is required if you only intend to use Companion mode on your smartphone.
・Companion mode can be used for as long as you want, even when using the free, time-limited version of Clip Studio Paint for smartphones. However, if you switch to Companion mode while the canvas is displayed, time spent in Companion mode will count as part of your free usage time.
3. Connect both your smartphone and main device to the same network connection, using the same router or access point.
・Companion mode is not compatible with Wi-Fi Direct.
・If you are using a mobile data connection (4G/5G), first connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your main device before continuing.
Connecting your devices
Main device:
1. Start Clip Studio Paint on your main device.
2. Tap Connect to smartphone on the Command Bar to generate the QR code.
Launching Companion mode on smartphones
1. Launch Clip Studio Paint on your smartphone.
2. Tap Try for free on the License authentication screen.
3. Tap the gear settings icon in the top-right of the screen > Companion Mode.
4. Tap Scan QR code on the confirmation screen.
5. Scan the QR code displayed on your main device with your smartphone camera.
6. Clip Studio Paint will switch over to Companion mode on your smartphone and connect to Clip Studio Paint on your main device.
