How do I downgrade to an earlier version of Clip Studio Paint?
You can downgrade from the license authentication screen.
Note: This FAQ is for Windows/macOS users.
Directions
1. Start Clip Studio Paint.
2. On the Getting Started with CLIP STUDIO PAINT screen, tap Install under Get the app for your license.
3. Follow the instructions in the dialog and start downgrading your version.
Note: If you see the following screen, close Clip Studio and then start downgrading your version.
Please do not open and run other programs when the installer is downloading or installing.
If "Getting Started with Clip Studio Paint" does not display
If the Getting Started with Clip Studio Paint screen does not display after launch, you can also downgrade from the Review/Change License screen.
1. Start Clip Studio Paint.
2. Open Review/Change License.
Windows
Select the Help menu > Review/Change License.
macOS
Select the Clip Studio Paint logo menu > Review/Change License.
3. From the license list, tap Install previous version to begin your downgrade.
Ver. 1: If you do not see your license in the list
If you don’t see your Ver. 1 license in the list, try reverting the version through the serial number input screen.
1. Enter your serial number by tapping Enter.
2. Enter your Ver. 1 serial number and tap Launch.

3. Tap Install previous version as in the window below and the version reversion will start.
Ver. 2.0 or later: If you do not see your license in the list
If you don’t see your Ver. 2.0 or later license in the list, try authenticating your activation code before downgrading Clip Studio Paint.
1. Tap Enter next to Activation code.
2. Enter the activation code for Ver.2.0 or later to authenticate.
3. On the Getting Started with CLIP STUDIO PAINT screen, tap Install to begin downgrading.
