If you see This app version cannot be activated with your license (Ver.2.0Download Version), then this means that Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.1 or later is installed with a Ver. 2.0 license activated.

You can use Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.1 and later by launching the app and activating a Ver. 3.0 or later one-time purchase license, the Update Pass, or annual/monthly plan.



If you do not have a license for Ver. 2.1 or later

If you do not have a license for Ver. 2.1 or later, you can purchase a one-time purchase license for Ver. 3.0, or subscribe to the Update Pass or annual/monthly plan.

Find out which plan for Ver. 2.1 or later works best for you based on the way you use Clip Studio Paint.


Note that the procedure differs depending on your license after purchase or subscribing.



Ver. 3.0 one-time purchase license

If you purchased a Ver. 3.0 one-time purchase license, follow the steps on the page below to activate your license.




Update Pass

If you are subscribed to the Update Pass, follow the steps below to activate your license.

Note: If you have an Update Pass activation code, please look here.


1. Start Clip Studio Paint.


2. On the Getting Started with Clip Studio Paint screen, tap Select & Enter.



3. The license will be automatically authenticated and Clip Studio Paint will startup.


Note:

If a license list pops up, tap the license that you want to use and press Activate.




If the authentication screen does not display

If the Getting Started with Clip Studio Paint screen does not display after launch, then you can verify your license from the Review/Change License screen.


Windows

Tap Help menu > Review/Change License.



macOS

Tap the Clip Studio Paint logo menu > Review/Change License.




Annual/Monthly plans

If you are subscribed to an annual/monthly plan, follow the steps on the page below to activate your license.




Use Ver. 2.0

If you wish to continue using Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.0, please follow the instructions here to downgrade.
