Tell me about 3D material hierarchical relationships

You can set 3D material hierarchical relationships to 3D models to link them together.

Multiple 3D models set as children can be moved in conjunction with the parent material's movements.

You can set these relationships by going to the Sub Tool Detail palette > Object list.

Steps

If you are using Clip Studio Paint on tablet or smartphone, please switch to Studio Mode first.

1. Load the 3D material onto the canvas.

2. Open the Sub Tool Detail palette.

3. Select and drag the 3D material in the Object list to set the hierarchical relationship.

Since we want to move the student bag with the 3D drawing figure, the 3D drawing figure is set as the parent and the student bag as the child.

Note:
On tablets and smartphones, you can long press on a 3D material to drag it.
If you find it difficult to drag and drop with a pen, try using your finger.

4. Confirm that the bag is under the 3D drawing figure, and set Attachment point.

Note:
If necessary, adjust the position of the 3D material (child) to be set.

When you move the controller for the wrist of the 3D drawing figure, the bag should move with it.
