Can I move 3D objects and 3D drawing figures as a set?

Set hierarchical relationships with Object list in the Sub Tool Detail palette to be able to move 3D materials simultaneously.



About 3D material hierarchical relationships
・The position of the 3D material set as a child can be moved together with the 3D material set as the parent.
・From Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.2.0 released on September 26, 2023, you can now set hierarchical relationships between 3D materials.Update to the latest version here.



Steps

If you are using Clip Studio Paint on tablet or smartphone, please switch to Studio Mode first.


1. Load the 3D material onto the canvas.


2. Open the Sub Tool Detail palette.

3. Select and drag the 3D material in the Object list to set the hierarchical relationship.

Since we want to move the student bag with the 3D drawing figure, the 3D drawing figure is set as the parent and the student bag as the child.



Note:
On tablets and smartphones, you can long press on a 3D material to drag it.
If you find it difficult to drag and drop with a pen, try using your finger.


4. Confirm that the bag is under the 3D drawing figure, and set Attachment point.



Note:
If necessary, adjust the position of the 3D material (child) to be set.


When you move the controller for the wrist of the 3D drawing figure, the bag should move with it.

  • 3D Small objects
  • 3D Drawing figures
  • 3D Characters
  • 3D Primitives
