Simple Mode: How do I connect my Tabmate 2?
Please check if your device has Bluetooth® on.
Once you have done that check below for how to connect it in Simple Mode. See here for how to connect it in Studio Mode.
From March 14, 2024, Clip Studio Paint Ver. 3.0.0 supports Tabmate 2.
Go here to update your app to the latest version.
Simple Mode is a feature for tablets and smartphones.
Connecting for the first time
1. Launch Clip Studio Paint on the device you would like to use your Tabmate 2 with.
2. Tap the upper right Menu button > CLIP STUDIO TABMATE 2 (or on Android CLIP STUDIO TABMATE).
3. Tap Register new Tabmate 2.
4. If a prompt for permission to connect via Bluetooth appears, allow it.
5. Once the “Looking for new Tabmate 2...” message appears, long-press the Clip Studio button on the controller for three seconds to turn the power on.
6. When “Found a new Tabmate 2. Do you want to connect and register it?” appears, tap Connect.
7. Your Clip Studio Tabmate 2 has now successfully been registered.
On the tablet version you will find the connection icon on the upper left part of the canvas.
Tablet users: Reconnecting your Tabmate
Please check if your device has Bluetooth® on.
Your device will automatically scan for the Tabmate if you have connected your Tabmate to your device at least once before.
1. Check that your connection icon has turned to Scanning for Tabmate 2.
If it is showing that it is not connected, tap the icon to change it to scanning.
2. Turn on your registered Clip Studio Tabmate 2. (Do this by long-pressing for 3 seconds on the Clip Studio button on the bottom of the Tabmate 2)
3. Once it is connected you can use your Tabmate.
The icon will turn to Connected to Tabmate 2 to let you know it's connected.

Smartphone users: Reconnecting your Tabmate
Please check if your device has Bluetooth® on.
Your device will automatically scan for the Tabmate if you have connected your Tabmate to your device at least once before.
1.Check that Stop scanning for Tabmate 2 is shown when tapping the upper right menu button.
When you see Scan for Tabmate 2, tap it to start the scan.
2. Turn on your registered Clip Studio Tabmate 2. (Do this by long-pressing for 3 seconds on the Clip Studio button on the bottom of the Tabmate 2)
3. Once it is connected, you can use your Tabmate.
Tap on the menu button in the upper right corner and you will see Disconnect Tabmate 2.
