How do I show stroke preview to reduce brush lag?

This feature displays a preview of the predicted stroke during drawing to reduce drawing lag when drawing quickly or when the stabilization is high.

Note: The effect will differ depending on the device. As the stroke will temporarily be displayed, the usual feel of drawing may differ.

How to set it up

If you are in Simple Mode, please switch to Studio Mode first.

1. From Preferences > Tools, check Show stroke preview to reduce brush lag.

Tablets/Computers

Smartphones

2. Select your preference under Display settings and tap OK.

Display settings

Automatic

Stroke preview will display automatically depending on on settings such as Stabilization and Brush Size.

Only when stabilization is low

When Stabilization is set to a value below 10, stroke preview will display based on each setting.

This is the same behavior as when Stroke preview was turned on in versions before 4.1.5 for iPad and Galaxy devices.

Stroke preview will not display in these situations

As Stabilization and Brush Size increase, stroke preview will no longer appear.

In addition to Stabilization and Brush Size, stroke preview will not display depending on each sub tool parameters and the snap circumstances.

Note:
Stroke preview will only display when the conditions for no lag are met.

If the feature doesn't display
