Where can I find materials downloaded from ASSETS?

Asset materials are stored in the following locations.


  • Clip Studio Paint: Material palette > Download

Note: From Ver. 4.2 and later, you can also set certain types of materials to automatically install.


  • Clip Studio: Manage Materials > Download


Please see below for steps on finding the materials you have downloaded.



Clip Studio Paint

If you are using the Simple Mode, see here.


PCs and tablets

1. Tap Draw or PAINT to open Clip Studio Paint.



2. Open the Window menu > Material > Download.



3. The downloaded material is displayed.


Smartphones

1. Tap on Draw from the home screen to open a canvas.



2. Tap the Material palette from the palette bar, and tap the Save folder for materials icon.


3. Select Download in the Save folder for materials dialog and tap OK.


4. The downloaded material is displayed.




CLIP STUDIO

PCs and tablets

1. Open Clip Studio.


2. Open Manage Materials > Download.


Ver. 3.0 or later


Ver. 2.0 or earlier


3. The downloaded material is displayed.


Smartphones

1. Open the Manage materials screen from the gear icon in the upper right.


2. Select Download in the Save folder for materials dialog and tap OK.


3. The downloaded material is displayed.

You can check which apps are compatible with the material on the information page.

Ver. 4.2 and later: How to set up auto-install

From Ver. 4.2 and later, go to the Material palette menu and turn on Auto-install settings to automatically install certain types of materials to their corresponding palettes.


Example: A brush material


The following material types can be automatically installed:

  • Sub tools (brushes, gradients, tool settings)
  • Color Set
  • Gradient set
  • Workspace
  • Auto Action
