I get an error when running “App settings backup”.

Check the FAQ that corresponds to the type of error that occurs when running App settings backup.





Failed to upload the settings file. Failed to obtain settings file. The software may currently be in use.

If you see this error message, check the following:



Are there any other apps running?

Check if any other apps such as Clip Studio Paint or Clip Studio Modeler are running.

1. If either are running, exit the app(s).



Is there enough space?

Check the amount of space that downloaded fonts and sub tools take up.


Fonts
To see how many fonts you have, tap File menu > Manage fonts > Font file list.

Sub tools
For sub tools, check the the Tool and Sub tool palettes.


If you have a large amount of fonts, turn off Include fonts in app settings backup in Cloud Settings to save space in app settings.


Setup

1. On the Cloud screen, tap the Cloud Settings block.

2. In Cloud Settings, turn off Include fonts in app settings backup and tap Save settings.




Connectivity issues

Check that there are no connectivity issues.



There is not enough cloud storage space, so the settings file could not be uploaded.

If you see this error message, you can free up space in the cloud by doing the following.


Open Manage works, Projects, or Manage materials, select the Cloud tab, and delete any unnecessary works, materials, and app settings on the cloud.
